Hello everyone,

I'd like to offer you a chance to get inside a very fast car of last saison, which lost the championship by.... 1 meter.

http://picasaweb.google.nl/dewachter.nick

you can find it under 'Our Endurance car Julia, and her chassis'

if you have any questions, feel free to post them here, and maybe I'll expose my secrets :dancedance:

you are welcome.

I made a few more pics, check them out at my site, here are a few

this is the interior. Nothing really big, all very light. The hole you are looking at is not his a.. but his hollow head :IKillMySelf:

The rear wing, which held for the entire saison :nice:

Although, some post-Oslo repairs were needed.

this should go to news or something, but just shortly anouncing, and feeling out the possbile interest...
The Julia 1b chassis designed by my mechanic Andre Linberg, which we used for last year and will use next year, will be available for sale shortly.
Will keep you updated on that :nice:

I probably should have mentioned, that when we start to sell our Julia chassis, that it 'only' comes with the messing base-plate and carbon parts. All the rest like motorholder, axle holders, bearings, axles and so on, you'll have to buy yourselves.
I hope this doesn't bring to much confusion to the mix.

I'm putting the final touches to Andre's Julia chassis in AutoCad, as we realised it won't fit a car longer then an Acura or Lola. so of course our Julia 1b chassis will fit all LMP models, and we made a few very minor adjustments to perfectly adapt them for next saison.
The Lola has a pretty complicated side-panel, and I'll draw up special body mounts for the Lola, so there'll be no need for cutting in the body.

price of the chassis we'll anounce in a few weeks time, and also where you can place your order should you be interested. But please feel free to email me at nickdewachterparts@live.nl for an inquiry, then I'll also have an idea on the amount of interest.

with kind regards, Nick

Nick,

What are the screws/bolts for - next to the body mounts - that can be seen from the bottom in your first photo?

Hey Jan,

Those screws actually don't connect anything together. On this design of body holders we dont use a separate part that stays in the body (glued) and another on the chassis, like a SLP2 is.
There's one single carbon plate, glued in the body, and the body is the only thing that holds these plates in place when mounted. In the plate there isn't a round hole, like a SLP2, but a slot, so the plate can slide outwords to take the body off of the chassis.

The screws you are referring to, are simply hanging in the hole, so that, during a crash when the body bends quite heavily, the plates won't detach themselves and separate from the chassis. The head of the screw holds the plates in their position.

I hope this clears anything up. The car is in Germany now, so I couldn't take an extra picture to clarify. :hey:
but if you look at the included pic of the shop, where we buy our carbon parts, you can see the slot, as opposed to the SLP2 parts below it.

For our chassis we use these carbon parts from Slottec, at www.slottec-shop.de

Or for a SLP2 chassis:

And since shortly they also have very light rims developed, originating from Switzerland:

Nick, you have some very nice cars in your link. I like the Porshe 962, you have done a fantastic job with that. Do you use the same chassis for all your cars? Are all your cars hard body?

Nick AKA Cheater

No I don't use the same chassis, as I'm racing in so many different classes of races, where everywhere a different chassis is prefered, or allowed...:autofahrer[1]:
