The American Endurance Championship /AEC will run in parallel to the Open European Prototype Series /OEPS and the Pacific Endurance Championship /PEC) in Australia. Each of the AEC/OEPS/PEC series will organize and compete independently within their world region and then come together in Europe at the end of each year for the World Endurance Championship.

We are now starting to get locations and dates sorted for the 2010 AEC based a three race series that will include SEATTLE -- CHICAGO -- TORONTO. As a North American series, these three border cities provide a good logistic for both American and Canadian teams to participate in one or more of the events.
The AEC races in SEATTLE and TORONTO will both run on OGILVIE MTT tracks and CHICAGO will run on the infamous MID WEST MONSTER that hosted the 2008 PANAM PLAFIT CHAMPIONSHIP, the 2009 USRA SCALE NATS and will also host the 2010 ISRA WORLDS.
To support the growing interest in Model Car Racing in North America, the AEC will provide at least 8 complete LMP cars to local teams in each city so that they can experience this great racing first hand. The AEC will also run the Division 2 Tech Rules in this first year that have now been posted on the AEC portion of this Forum. More to come . . .

Hi Jan,
The North American economy continues to be slow getting back on its feet and racers here have been feeling the pinch when it comes to race travel.
Having said that we have revised the race format for the 2010 PANAM PLAFIT CHAMPIONSHIP to run as an Team Enduro with Formula Lemans Prototype cars and the new Plafit SLP2 chassis . . . effectively rolling the AEC into the PANAM for this year. A little like what we are doing with the final race of the 2010 OEPS and the 2010 TRIER WORLDS.
We are also going to hold the 2010 PANAM on October 9th and 10th as the 'closer' to the 2010 ISRA WORLDS that will be held at Mid America Raceway in Chicage starting on October 2nd.
This timing and format will allow us to include some of the international racers that will be attending the ISRA race as well as eliminating a seperate travel expense for the North America racers heading to Chicago.
Creative measures in these challenging times, however it will let everything move ahead will the economy rebounds and see where we stand in 2011. More to come,
