Postponing OEPS #2?

Hello everyone,

as you're probably aware off, all of Europe is suffering the consequences of the ash-cloud from Iceland.

At this moment, at 21:50 Yurrup time, the official notice is that Kopenhagen Airport will be opened again at 12:00 Friday Yurrup time. But of course, nobody knows for sure if that is in fact going to happen and to what extend that'll influence the flights that are scheduled to fly later that day.

Friday morning at 09:00 we will decide and notify if the OEPS #2 race will be postponed or not, depending on the latest news tomorrow morning from Kopenhagen airport.

That's the official notice by the OEPS organisation, and I personally clarify this to you quite simple: if the birds are flying, we race. If they don't, we don't race.

I of course still very much hope to see you all tomorrow in Kopenhagen to enjoy a good weekend's racing

Update, April 15, 2010, 22.00 CET SAS would like to inform that all SAS flights will be cancelled until at least 15.00 CET tomorrow, April 16, 2010, following the continuted closure of all Scandinavian airports.

At the moment, SAS cannot give any estimates on when traffic will resume beyond this time. Please check this website for continuous updates.


With other words - SAS has 'decided' that OEPS #2 will be postponed...

Additionally - our flights have been cancelled and seats for later flights are all booked - if there any tomorrow...

Let me add to my post: Pony up cowboys and get your engines started - it's a fun trip by car and ferry to Copenhagen :-)
