Please can somebody explain to me how a track with such a difference in lap lenght, between the two outside lanes, have become a world standard. At the 2008 'Worlds' the best on Red was 7.846 seconds and on Black 7.306 seconds - that's not racing against each other, that's racing against the clock.
So, can we get rid of the double bridge to even up the lane lenghts - not to mention the marshalling nightmare (under the two bridges) that will be solved?
Cheers
Jan

Your rignt Jan. In red and white you get kind of frustrated, and it`s easy to kind of give up couse you don`t have a chance anyway, but it`s important to keep it up, know where you are, witch lane you have done and not have done. Couse you could be all the way up there even if you are 2-5 laps down....
So, is it wrong? I don`t know, it`s not perfect, but it`s a hell of a track to race on, real fun:banana:
In the warmup race last year 08 (24h warmup) Fola had black and we had red in the last stint, I think we had like 4-8 laps or something over Fola. We where racing for 3rd. Then our car broke down, it became wierd in left or right cornering, I dont remember witch way. But, Fola didn`t catch up... he got bitten by a ghost or something and we where just slow but steady. He was in front of us a couple of times, but he fell back again, time after time. In the end we won by a couple of segments:dancedance:
So, it`s possible, but you have to keep in mind that it is normal to loose laps in red and white.
The bridge can be a nightmare especially with Ferrari`s. With the LMS cars we rarely go of. If the bridge had been reversed, with lower lane on top and the top lane below and so on, the problem would be as good as gone.
But, what the heck.... we meet great people :wavey[1]: we race great cars :autofahrer[1]: So, who cares.... see you in Toronto :nice:
