home again from Toronto, and I started to give the Lola some updates, to make it more easy to fit a chassis under it also improving it's overall performance, after the experiences from the teams that raced Lola's last year and after the Lola I built myself.
Check out the album at

and to give you some general idea..
On the left is the new cutout, on the right is the old lay-out.

new fins to make up new bodywork. It's not original, but since this entire part will be covered by a big plate, which prevents to see these parts, it doesn't really matter.

adding more material to the nose, to give it a lower groundclearance, which looks better

Thanks Louise!
You are on top of the list together with Ralf Seif, I know you are both very eager to get started :autofahrer[1]:
I can't wait to be done with the Lola either, cause I'm expecting Erlo Paul's Audi R15 any day now, which I'm maybe going to work on some more.
'Mulsanne Mike' of Mulsanne corner was kind enough to give me the exact measurements of the Audi R15.
Mike's webpage is truelly extroardinary, providing detailing pictures and background on various racecars.

And, this one would be cool for a quickie, for fun..
Ford GT, now that it is starting to be competitive..

now all it needs are new side skirts, and a good surface paint, and she's ready to swim..
Also, take a look at my Toronto album, I've taken some pictures from Borge's album. We used his camera for the week.

ready to go!
what do you do if you know you're short on sillicone.... make the mold as small as possible. Add old pieces of sillicone, that'll stick to the newly poored sillicone.
You can't see it afterwards cause the sillicone covers the model ofcourse.. but a normal mold weighs about 800 grams... and when I was mixing, I only came to 580... pff scary... can't stop, it's mixed, it's gonna harden anyway... ok then take the risk... and just barely made it, scraping every drop of sillicone out of the cup ;)

Finally done, so now we can move on to this next project that has just dropped on my doorstep:
The Audi R15 TDI that Erlo Paul of South Africa made.

Nice one Nick - Hope you dont find too many mistakes with the R15 and looking forward to your version of it.

Hey Paul,
every model has some kind of mistakes... never had a perfect one.... and I have had many. I really must say the pictures do not do your car justice. Mine arrived yesterday
It really is better in the flesh!
Thanks for building it, thanks for trading !
We will do it justice!
Gotta finish a junior Audi first....

Thanks Fola, clearly I need some photography lessons, Nick said the same thing.
Dont take too long with the "Junior Audi", but must say it is looking awesome:worshippy::worshippy::worshippy:
