Exclamation PEC 2010 announcement!

Hi guys,

After much deliberation, thinking and re-thinking it's been decided that only ONE event will be run in 2010. This means the PEC event at Mobile Raceways on the 1st and 2nd of May 2010 will be the mother of all enduro's for Scale Model Cars in 2010.

It became very clear that with the anticipated entry numbers and given the compusory night section (which is run in the dark) that first we can only run PEC events during May, June, July and August every year. Secondly, as most events will have to be run on big tracks - mainly in race centers where trading needs to continue - it is not possible to have total darkness at many venues.

Therefor, with the Australian racing calendar for 2010 being what it is already - Model Car Nats in June and APC early in August - that it would be too much to expect participants to travel, interstate, three times in four months over and above the other events.

Thankfully many clubs, race centers and regions have already started the inclusion of our Group C cars in their own enduro's and sprint race series. This will no doubt be very good for everyone planning to attend the PEC and will give everybody lots of car experience and setup knowledge. All of which will contribute to a fantastic battle in Melbourne for the podium positions at the PEC.

Thank you to everybody that lent a helping hand in refining our rules over the past 5 months. Also Greg C, Shane A, Werner W, Jimmy P, Andrew B, Peter R and various of our race center owners - not forgetting our overseas collegues - need to be congratulated for their very valuable contributions and assistance to the successfull launching of the PEC in Australia.

If anyone would like to receive the anticipated Time Schedule (xls spreadsheet) for the PEC in May, please email us on the official PEC address pecinaus@gmail.com and it will be sent to you.

Cheers

Jan
