Default Pre 1970's CanAm

Here is my first Car that I have built for this type of Racing.

I prefer Hard bodys but this class is very popular so I thought I should join in the Fun

That 612 is a very nice car, I think I will do another body after the weekends Races.

My 312P did ok on the concorse, could have been better but it was the first one for me so I will spend a bit more time on the next one.

The racing though was a different result, I found the car realy hard to control, it has a good amount of speed and I think the chassis is good but maybe the body is too stiff so I will try a 350P spider body or maybe a Lola T70 Mk3.

Update soon.

The Lola is not a good choice. The 350P is better, however check that it's lexan and not PET or you'll have the same stiffness as with the 312P.

BTW. I think you'll find most the guys overseas are only running hard plastic or laminated bodies.

Cheers

Jan

Tou may be right with the Lola, both of the two are Lexan though and both are spyder.

Why are we not running more hard body classes?

Can you send me a list of the Group C cars from 19?? - 19??

I will start building one even just for fun, also I need the chassis rules so I know what to buy

Paul

Paul,

The chassis rules are in the PEC section of this forum and all the cars that ran in Grp C can be found on http://www.imca-slotracing.com/1982-...C%20RACING.htm

Cheers

Took Jans advise and built a 350P, it runs well, just having trouble getting traction, it is very taily but has plenty of grunt, more tuning will have this car running good.

Photo is a little bright...
