![]() The Division 2 Rule Set is scene as a top Amateur or Semi Pro classification that can serve as both a racing and building 'platform' for racers interested in working towards competing in the Division 1 or Open Pro classification as raced in the OEPS Series. To this end, the Division 2 Rule Set will use a 'common' laminated body at 1/24 scale of the new Formula LeMans cars as raced in 2009. In combination with the Plafit SLP2 chassis and a very tight list of homologated tuning components, the Division 2 cars will represent a 'high performance' spec class with a moderate level of investment. The maker of the Formula LeMans bodies is still to be negotiated, and efforts will be made to keep the production costs as affordable as possible. Compared to conventional plastic model kits, the laminated body technology provides a much more durable and lasting investment that is easily capable of running a full season or more of competition. More to come! Mark Campbell Scale Racing America Last edited by Mark AKA ‘Wonder Boy’; 11-24-2009 at 01:05 AM. |

Mark,
We are obviously watching closely as our next step will be Division 2. Having said that, I think a lot of our guys will remain with Division 3 and to that end we'll continue to maintain Division 3 for as long as we have interest. I have been advised by our local Plafit distributor that the SLP2 will be available locally as from 2010 and therefor your spade work on Division 2 will give us a much better understanding of how to introduce it in years to come. Cheers Jan

![]() Hey Jan, Good to hear that the SLP2 is coming your way in 2010. Obviously you will want the new 13D version that has the base plate and motor brackets for the Plafit Fox II. The original uses the 18V Bison motor that was born in Germany but power supplies in North America rarely run above 15v. So it saves the cost and fussing of the retrofit, a great move by Plafit. Cheers, Mark |

Mark,
Spot-on mate, that's the one. We have already seen the samples and now we just have to wait and see how our Plafit distributor goes about the introduction of the SLP2 (13D) overhere. Please keep us informed regarding the laminated body production you've eluded to. Cheers Jan
